In order to show solidarity with jailed author Zeki Bayhan and to expose the problems experienced by political prisoners, the books by Bayhan, who has been imprisoned for 27 years, were signed at the Belge Publications stand within the scope of the International Istanbul Book Fair.

Bayhan was arrested in 1998 for being a member of the PKK and sentenced to life imprisonment. Bayhan has so far published the books Rising to Zero, Democratic Ecological Gender Libertarian Paradigm, 21st Century Ideology, Democratic Socialism, Exit from the Genocidal Nation State Paradigm, Democratic Socialism, and Why a New Social Science Paradigm in 2 volumes. Bayhan is being held in Kandıra Prison.
