Sheik Said and his 47 comrades were commemorated in front of Ulu Mosque in Diyarbakýr in the 85 anniversary of their executions. The activities that were organized by Dicle Fýrat Dialogue Group were supported also by Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) and Democratic Society Congress.
It has been revealed that at the time of the revolt, Christians also took part in Sheik Said Rebellion.
For 85 years,Turkish state has been claiming that Sheik Said was judged and hung on charges of ‘Founding an islamic Kurdish State’. However, a document published by ETHA (Etkin News Agency) shows that Christians also took part in Sheik Said Rebellion.
The deportation enactment of Demirci Hagop Markar, which is in the archive of Researcher Journalist Sait Çetinoðlu, shows that Armenians also contributed to the rebellion.
Another deportation enactment belongs to an Armenian who was identified because of a judicial crime and was deported. It is attention grabbing that both enactments, signed by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, were given just before the Dersim Operation.
By a prior order of the Orient Liberty Court in Diyarbakýr, Sheik Said and his 47 comrades were given death penalty on 28 June 1925 and the decision was executed on the following day.
Among the 47 comrades, who were hung with Sheik Said on charges of “founding an islamic Kurdish State”, was also Ottoman’s final stage Chief Justice Seyit Abdülkadir
