DTK: All Muslims must stand up against oppression
On the occasion of the beginning of Ramadan, the Democratic Society Congress calls on Muslims to stand up against all forms of oppression.
On the occasion of the beginning of Ramadan, the Democratic Society Congress calls on Muslims to stand up against all forms of oppression.
With the beginning of the month Ramadan, the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) hopes that Ramadan will be carried out peacefully and in solidarity and will bring peace and brotherhood to the entire Islamic world: "In the month of Ramadan we will get united with the basic values of Islam - peace, brotherhood and solidarity. These values are sacred. Unfortunately, for centuries, governments have used the sacred values of Islam as an instrument of their oppressive policies, causing bloodshed throughout the Middle East. When someone is oppressed, for whatever reason, it is the primary duty of all Muslims to oppose it.
With the Islamic philosophy of brotherhood, peace and tolerance, let us no longer allow anyone to manipulate the fundamental values of Islam in their own interest and exploit the faith. We must oppose the prevailing mentality that pits Muslims against Muslims, Kurds against Kurds and the different world views against each other.
As DTK, we wish that Ramadan is carried out peacefully and in solidarity. We must not forget the hundreds of thousands of poor, the starving, and we must build a network of solidarity. We hope that Ramadan brings peace and brotherhood to the entire Islamic world."
