FEDA protested the appointment by the government of trustees to three municipalities and called on everyone to resist.
The Democratic Alevis Federation (FEDA) issued a written statement against the seizures of municipalities.
The statement said: "The AKP-MHP fascist government is trying to seize the freedom struggle carried out by the Kurdish people and suppress the struggle for democracy.
The AKP-MHP fascist alliance has put into practice all kinds of illegal dirty tricks to oppress the people. On the one hand, this fascist government talks about peace. On the other hand, it reveals what kind of peace it wants with isolation practices and the appointment of trustees."
The statement added: "Repelling the appointment of trustees and protecting the will of the people is a legitimate right of historical importance. This attack must be repelled. It is possible to do that, because fascism is not as strong as it is thought.
Dear friends, Alevi institutions and the Alevi community have clearly seen from the trustee appointed to the Esenyurt Municipality that the trustee politics is not only a problem of the DEM Party and the Kurdish people.
It is a requirement of the Alevi faith to support the resistance against the usurpation of the will of the Kurdish people everywhere and in every way.
We invite all Alevi institutions, organized social forces, women's institutions, unions and all oppressed social segments that will strengthen the struggle for democracy to support this resistance."
