Green Left Party visits Hatay and Maraş

The Green Left Party visited many institutions in Hatay and Maraş, two of the cities worse hit by the earthquake, and met with the people.

Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party), Revolutionary Workers' Unions Confederation (DİSK), Kaldıraç, Defne Disabled Association (DEFEN-DER), Hatay Academic Professional Chambers Union (HAMOK), Turkish Engineers and Architects Union (TMMOB) visited the people hit by the 6 February earthquake in Hatay and Maraş.

Hatay

Kerem Nalbant, the first candidate of the Green Left Party, explained why they entered the elections with the Green Left Party. Nalbant, who criticized the policies of the government after the earthquake, emphasized the importance of getting a strong result in the elections and ensuring the security of the ballot boxes together. Nalbant called on people to “be united. We will overthrow this government in order to re-build our city. I invite you all to vote for the Green Left Party in the elections."

After the visits to the various institutions, the delegation also visited the people living in tents in the neighbourhood of Çekmece. The citizens said that the Green Left Party has supported them since the first day after the earthquake and said that they will vote for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the presidency and for the Green Left Party in the local elections.

Maraş

The Green Left Party carried out its electoral work in Bazarcix, in Maraş and opened election contact stands in Namık Kemal and Bazarcix.

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) party assembly member Beybun Aslan said: "We have started our work for an equal and free life, we will be in all streets and squares."

As of today, Green Left Party election liaison offices will continue to be opened in many regions of Maraş.
