The Iraqi army and Hashd al-Shaabi forces under them have launched an operation on the Ruman town to the north of the Qaim district on the Syrian border.

In the statement issued on the Hashd al-Shaabi’s official website, it was announced that the Hashd al-Shaabi and Iraqi army forces launched an operation on the Ruman town under ISIS control this morning.

The Qaim district had been under ISIS invasion for 3 years and 5 months, and has come under control of the Iraqi army and Hashd al-Shaabi forces on November 3.
