The coronavirus, which has turned into a worldwide epidemic, deeply affected the people of Italy and paralyzed life in the country completely.
KDCK-E (European Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress) issued a statement to express solidarity with the people of Italy who are being heavily hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
The statement said: "Capitalism's power angry ambitions to make profit through power, overproduction, the policies that destroy the ecological balance, and the trends that upset the balance between nature and living things, bring new disasters to humanity every day."
The statement added: "We believe that the people of Italy will overcome this difficult situation with the solidarity of all people. As KCDK-E, we state that we are with the people of Italy with Kurdish people."
On 25 March at 6 pm the KCDK-E will organise a solidarity action with the people of Italy. "The people of Kurdistan around the world - said the statement - will go out on the balconies to express their solidarity with the Italian people in their homes through strong applauding and our Kurdish artists and our people will sing Kurdish and Italian songs for the people of Italy."
The statement added: "Everyone should write the following slogans in handwriting on the windows of the houses and overcome them as posters:
Il popolo kurdo a fianco dell'Italia!
Solidarietà è Resistenza!
Non torniamo alla normalita' perche' la normalita' e' il problema
La salute è un diritto!
Restiamo in Casa!"
The KCDK-E will also runa HASHTAG campaign for the Italian people around the world at 6 pm.
"As KCDK-E, our call to all community centers, our components, our people, our friends and all humanity to participate in the HASHTAG campaign for the people of Italy on 25 March at 6 pm."
