Kurds set up Coronavirus Crisis Desk in Berlin

The Crisis Desk aims at urgently supporting those who have difficulties related to the virus, such as financial and moral problems.

The Free Kurdistan Community Center Council operating in Berlin has set up a Crisis Desk for social solidarity against the coronavirus outbreak.

The Crisis Desk against the coronavirus will inform the Kurds and democratic sections living in Berlin in Kurdish, Turkish and German.

The Crisis Desk aims at urgently supporting those who have difficulties related to the virus, such as financial and moral problems.

Crisis Desk Spokesperson Ismail Parmaksız said: "The health of our people is paramount to us. For this reason, we canceled the congress of our council as well as most of our activities."

Spokesperson Parmaksız added: "We will be at the service of our people for 24 hours a day with the Crisis Desk we have opened."

Parmaksız also said that they will meet with Berlin State Health Senator and added: "We will present the Corona Crisis Desk to the Senator during the meeting and we will try to establish the conditions of working in coordination with the authorities."

Parmaksız called on people to avoid panic and call the Crisis Desk should symptoms occur.
