Nuri Arslan elected deputy mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality

Following the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) mayor Ekrem Imamoğlu on 23 March, an election for deputy mayor was held in the IMM Assembly.
CHP candidate Nuri Arslan competed against AKP candidate Zeynel Abidin Okul.
After three rounds of elections, Nuri Arslan was elected as the IMM deputy mayor with 177 votes. AKP candidate Okul received 125 votes.
