Also in the self-administered Alhambra Action and Communication Centre in Oldenburg all public events have been cancelled due to the corona spread. Nevertheless, there was an action in front of the Alhambra on Newroz, which not only focused on the Kurdish New Year and resistance festival, but also on the International Day against Racism on March 21.

The Alhambra, founded in 1978, is one of the few action and communication centres of this size in the Federal Republic of Germany, which is completely independent of state or municipal funding and also influence. There are no subsidies whatsoever. All funds from which the Alhambra exists are donated or collected through events. The Alhambra is therefore completely independent and self-governing.
