One Turkish soldier and three village guards were killed in an attack in the province of Siirt late Wednesday. The ambush also wounded two other soldiers.

According to the first reports the outpost of a commando battalion near Doðan village of Pervari district, has come under attack and a lieutenant and three village guards (a kind of private militia supporting the military) were killed.

Supporting commandos were sent to the district by helicopters while a wide military operation has been launched.
