DIHA news agency is reporting ongoing military operations in Kato, Cudi and Sehreban rural areas in Sirnak. Operations have intensified as border zones are bombed by aircraft and valleys by helicopters. In addition, the fire that erupted began in Cudi Mountain in Sirnak is expanding. Sirnak is utterly under fire, from bombs and forest fire throughout and surrounding the city.
The operations in the rural parts of Sirnak have overwhelmed the area for some time. However, on Friday a new, invasive operation was launched in Kupeli and Cirav Mountains as well as Sehreban by all of the village guards. Commandos descended from their helicopters to operation zones. They trudge on in Memura, Gormec, Gundogdu and Gulundur in Cirav Mountain, Kirkkoyun, Koreli, Sirmali and Suluklu in Kupeli Mountain as well as in Cudi Mountain. They are also searching for landmines to safely detonate in Cizre- Sirnak and on Þirnak- Uludere highways.
It was also noted that local civilians are increasingly migrating elsewhere as the fire and military operations are making life even more difficult.
