The Operation Cizire Storm launched by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the north and east of Deir ez-Zor on September 9, continues at full force on its 49th day.

Following fierce clashes with ISIS gangs, SDF fighters liberated the village of al-Namliyah where 9 ISIS members were killed. The fighters started search and cleaning operations in the village after taking it under their control.

On the other hand, clashes took place between SDF fighters and ISIS gangs northwest of the Agedat village Friday evening. The gangs attempted to attack the fighters with two bomb laden vehicles, both of which were frustrated.

Six SDF fighters have fallen as martyrs in the Operation Cizire Storm since yesterday.
