SDF reports intensified attacks on Tishrin and Qereqozak areas

SDF reports unprecedented escalations of Turkish occupation attacks on Tishrin Dam and Qereqozak fronts.

The Press Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces reported that the Turkish state and allied mercenaries have intensified their brutal attacks on northern and eastern Syria, committing a massacre yesterday in the countryside of Sirrin, which resulted in casualties.

In a statement on Tuesday, the SDF Press Center said: “On Monday, the Turkish occupation UCAVs targeted civilian homes in the village of Jarraf, Sirrin town, south of Kobani. The brutal UCAV bombing resulted in the martyrdom of one child and the injury of two brothers. Meanwhile, the Turkish occupation continued shelling the villages of Al-Tina, Ja’da, Bir Hisso, Ghasq, Dekan, Melha, and Al-San’a, as well as the Sayfi Hill and Qereqozak Hill. Using heavy artillery, tanks, rocket launchers, and mortars, they indiscriminately fired more than 70 shells, causing significant damage to civilian homes and properties. Additionally, a Turkish occupation UCAV struck the western countryside of Qereqozak, resulting in further material damage.”

On the other hand, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continued their relentless bombardment on the southern and northern countryside of the Tishrin Dam from Sunday night into Monday, using heavy artillery. The attack caused significant destruction to civilian homes, some of which caught fire. Turkish occupation warplanes also launched multiple airstrikes on the dam’s surroundings. By the afternoon, the occupation forces resumed their attacks with both heavy artillery and aircraft, specifically targeting workers’ housing and other areas in the dam’s vicinity, leading to further material damage.

Additionally, Turkish occupation warplanes and UCAVs conducted continuous aerial surveillance over Kobani, Ain Issa, and their surrounding countryside throughout the day, the SDF reported.
