Young women underlined the importance of the ‘Jin Jiyan Azadî’ uprising, which is about to mark its first anniversary, on 16 September.
The ‘Journey of Freedom’ sees the participation of 240 young internationalists and Kurds and has been organized to demand freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Young women gathered at Oberhausen HBF on Wednesday morning for the 3rd day of the march, and carried purple scarves and a banner to draw attention to the ‘Jin Jiyan Azadî’ movement.
After marching for some 15 km from Oberhausen central train station to the center of Duisburg, the activists held a seminar in the evening about the special war policies against women and the struggle for self-defense.
Today, young people left Neuss train station and will arrive in Düsseldorf.
On the 5th and last day of the action, a march will be held from Cologne to Mülheim city center.
