Traditional mass Newroz celebrations have been canceled this year due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) emergency.

People mostly celebrated at home and on their balconies, while some young people organised small gathering in the streets. This was the case in Idil, Şırnak, where young people gathered in the village of Yarbaşı.
