24 hours in the Operation Cizire Storm: 26 ISIS members killed

SDF announced that at least 26 ISIS members have been killed during the past 24 hours as part of their campaign against ISIS to the east of the Euphrates.

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Media Center announced the outcomes for the past 24 hours in the last phase of the Operation Cizire Storm.

According to the SDF, at least 26 ISIS members have been killed on all fronts of battle during the last one day. During the same period of time, coalition aircraft carried out 10 strikes.

Full text of the SDF statement is as follows;

“After the liberation of the Al-Bagouz town, SDF searched for potential hideouts inside the town and the surrounding orchards. Mine disposal teams also searched for mines laid by terrorists, and dozens of mines were dismantled.

This axis witnessed the movements of terrorists who tried to move towards the town, under the cover of shelling with heavy and medium weapons. Snipers involved in the aggression targeted the positions of our fighters. The attack was retaliated and repelled through resistance. During heavy fighting in the area, one ISIS sniper was killed.

The terrorists used a reconnaissance drone, over Al-Baguoz, which was shot down by our forces.

This morning, the coalition aircraft targeted a tunnel of the terrorists. The bombardment killed 3 terrorists.

Providing information about the Sousse front, SDF said the situation here was relatively quiet yesterday evening, and there were no movements of terrorists.

SDF announced the following figures regarding the outcomes of battle on all fronts:

10 airstrikes were carried out.

26 terrorists have been killed during the past 24 hours.

A tunnel of the terrorists was destroyed.

A defensive position of the terrorists was destroyed in the village of Al-Bagouz.”
