100 people in Newroz and Roj camps get first Covid-19 vaccine dose

The Health Committee of the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria gave the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine to 100 people in the Newroz and Roj camps in Derik. The Health Committee delivered 50 vaccines to each camp. Vaccinations will be given to people between 18 and 45.
The second dose of the vaccine will be given in two months.
Doctor Ciwan Mistefa, co-chair of the Northern and Eastern Syria Health Committee, said on May 29 that 17,500 vaccines were sent by the World Health Organization to the region. Mistefa also stated that the World Health Organization would send more vaccines in June.
