Reconstruction process continues in the Raqqa city after its liberation from ISIS occupation. Roads, bridges, water and electrical installations destroyed by the gangs are repaired.
ALTERATIONS ON 3 BRIDGES COMPLETED
The Technical Services Office affiliated with the Raqqa Civil Council continues the repair works of 7 bridges in various parts of the city. While the repairment of 3 bridges that started in early 2020 has come to an end, the repairment of 4 bridges has just begun. In the meantime, the repairments of Hos Bridge on the Raqqa-Deir ez-Zor road, the Ensar Bridge in the east of Raqa and the Ekêrşi Bridge in the west have been completed.
The Technical Services Office has started to work by expert engineers on the restoration of 4 bridges that had been completely destroyed by the gangs. The repairment has also begun for the Belîx Bridge on the Raqqa-Deir ez-Zor road, the Hetaş Bridge in Hezima and the Feyd Bridge that connects the western countryside of Raqqa to the city.
NEW BRIDGE TO MAKE TRANSPORTATION EASIER
Meanwhile, a new bridge will be built to connect the northern countryside of Raqqa to the city and serve 80 thousand people. The new canal to be built on the channel in the Esedi region will facilitate the passage of the villagers and save both fuel and time.
Technical Services Office Manager, Ahmed Heco informed that their work has been prolonged due to limited resources and that they are working with all their might to complete the repairments. Heco pointed out that the repairment of the 4 bridges is continuing, adding that the repairments are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
