7th Women's Literature Festival ready to start in Qamishlo

The Jazira Region Culture and Art Committee is organizing a special festival of women's handicrafts, literature and art in Northern and Eastern Syria, to mark 8 March, International Women's Day.
The Women's Art and Literature Festival was held in Qamishlo for the first time in 2016.
The Culture and Art Committee will hold the festival for the 7th time at the Mihemed Şêxo Culture and Art Center on March 1 and 2 with the slogan "Women are the spring flower of culture".
Festival Organizing Committee member Botan Hoşê said that due to the security situation in the region, the work and preparations were delayed for days, but now everything is ready. The literary works can be submitted in Kurdish, Arabic and Syriac.
Hoşê told ANHA that the participation rate is higher this year than in the past, and added that "women's desire to participate in Manbij, Raqqa and Tabqa shows their desire and insistence on participating in the cultural revolution."
Festival program
According to the Organizing Committee, the festival program will start at 12 pm on 1 March at the Mihemed Şêxo Culture and Art Center in Qamishlo.
On the first day of the festival, Syriac songs and literary works, Kurdish stories, Arabic plays, Kurdish songs and documentaries are on the program.
On the second day, a Kurdish story will be presented, followed by Kurdish and Arabic literary works, songs, and Kurdish plays.
