A group of young people announced their participation in the ranks of the Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) to respond to the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan, to avenge the unlawful and immoral attacks against the people, and to avenge the martyrs.
The statement made by the group said: "With its policies of denial and annihilation, the occupying-colonialist fascist Turkish state oppresses Leader Öcalan first and foremost. Leader Öcalan has been kept in captivity in Imrali prison for 25 years, and no concrete information can be obtained about his health. On the other hand, they are turning against our people with various war policies and methods. The cities of Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî were occupied in front of the eyes of the world. Today, the occupying Turkish state and its gangs are using all kinds of dirty methods against our people, women and youth in these occupied regions, from murder to kidnapping, rape, confiscation of people's property and demographic change... The vital needs of our people are targeted by war and reconnaissance planes, while oppression and genocide are applied to our people in every field, and the world is deaf, blind and dumb in the face of all this.
We, the Kurdish and Arab youth of this resilient and rebellious people on the path to freedom, promise that we will take up arms against the enemy, primarily to respond to the isolation of Leader Öcalan, to avenge the unlawful and immoral attacks against the people, to avenge the heroes of the Basil village action, the prominent commander Cûdî Reşo, Çiçek Kobanê, Cûdî Gabar, Jiyan Efrîn and Serêkanî.”
Finally, the youth called on all young women and men to do their part and join the ranks of freedom.
