A member of Internal Security Forces killed in Qamishlo

A member of the Internal Security Forces was martyred as a result of a Turkish attack in Qamishlo.

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria issued a statement on the Turkish drone attack that targeted a vehicle belonging to the Internal Security Forces in front of the detention center in Um al-Fursan neighbourhood of Qamishlo earlier today.

According to the statement, a member of the Internal Security Forces was killed in the attack.

The statement by the Internal Security Forces said: “The fascist Turkish army, which targets the security and peace of our peoples, continues to attack our regions. A reconnaissance aircraft of the occupying Turkish state targeted a vehicle belonging to our forces in the Um al-Fursan neighbourhood of Qamishlo city at 01.30 this afternoon (Tuesday).

In the place where the vehicle was targeted, there are detainees arrested for murder and drug offences.

This attack was intended to allow the criminals to escape by causing a riot. However, our forces did not allow any turmoil to arise at this point.

The aim of the occupying Turkish state with these attacks is to prevent our forces from fulfilling their duties towards society.

We emphasise once again that our forces continue to work under all conditions and more than ever to frustrate the fascist Turkish state's invasion plans that seek to disrupt the security and stability of the region.”
