AANES hands over 42 women, 104 children of ISIS families to Tajikistan

The Department of Foreign Relations in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria handed over 42 women and 104 children from the families of ISIS mercenaries to Tajikistan.

A delegation from the State of Tajikistan visited the Department of Foreign Relations in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (ANES), headed by the Ambassador of Tajikistan in Kuwait, Zabidullah Zabidov.

The delegation was received by the Vice-President of the Department of Foreign Relations, Fanar Al-Kait, and Khaled Ibrahim, a member of the Administrative Board in the Department of Foreign Relations.

According to an official document signed between the two sides, the Department of Foreign Relations handed over 42 women and 104 children from ISIS families who hold Tajik citizenship and reside in the Roj and Al-Hol camps for families and children of ISIS.

The Ambassador of Tajikistan in Kuwait, Zabidullah Zabidov, affirmed that "the embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the State of Kuwait will continue to work to return ISIS women and children who hold their nationality."
