Activists in Qamishlo continue action in front of UN

Activists in Qamishlo said that they would support the self-defense forces in Northern and Eastern Syria, and added that the regional states should take a stand against the Turkish invasion attacks.

The tent action launched in front of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees building in Qamishlo to protest the attacks carried out by the invading Turkish state against Northern and Eastern Syria has left the first month behind. The tent is organised by HPC-Jin and Kongra Star, which also call for the closure of the region's airspace.

HPC-Jin members from Kobanê and Til Birak attended the action on Saturday. HPC-Jin member Şeyma Ehmed said: “We are calling on the UN human rights and justice representatives to take a stand against the terrorist forces that are killing us.

Regional states should take a stance against attacks

Kobanê HPC-Jin member Xelîla Nasan said: “We are here to make our voices heard in the whole world. We have resisted until now, we have given thousands of martyrs and wounded. The states in the region should take a serious stance against the attacks on these lands."

Nasan continued: “The people of Northern and Eastern Syria fought against ISIS, the terrorist organisation that the whole world feared. Our people continue to resist this terrorist organisation. These people continue to make sacrifices. We repeat once again that we want peace.”

Xelîla Nasan emphasized that they would support the self-defence forces and would  continue to follow the path of the martyrs to achieve victory.
