Civilians injured in Turkish attacks on North-East Syria cannot be treated due to Syrian embargo

The condition of those injured after a recent Turkish attack in Afrin remains critical. Avrin Hospital director Azad Reşo stated that there has been a shortage of health and medical supplies due to the embargo of the Syrian government.

A teen named Eseed Mihamêd (16) was martyred, while Xalid Şêx Taha (16) and Ehmed Mihamêd (18) were injured as a result of the invading Turkish army's bombing of the Tinib village in the Shera district of Afrin on December 25. The injured were first taken to Til Rifet Hospital and later to Avrin Hospital in the Shehba canton.

Avrin Hospital director Azad Reşo said that the injured were taken to the city of Aleppo due to a shortage of medical supplies in Avrin Hospital.

Reşo added that since some people were slightly injured, they were discharged from the hospital after their treatment.

Reşo stated that they could not treat the injured due to the embargo imposed by the 4th Brigade of the Syrian government which does not allow the delivery of drugs and medical supplies into the Shehba canton.
