A massive funeral ceremony was held in Dêrik for four fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) who fell in the resistance against the invasion of the Turkish army and allied ISIS/Al-Nusra gangs which started on 9 October; Mihemed Mihemed (Navdar Kerkûk), Mihemed Ferosoper (Bakir Terxê), Bekir Îbrahîm Ezîz (Zerdeşt Kermiya) and Avaşîn Ezîz (Rêber Bokan).
Hundreds of people accompanied the coffins from the Hogir Hospital to the Şehîd Xebat Cemetery, where a military ceremony was held in honour of the martyrs.
PYD politician Abdulkerîm Sarûxan gave a speech in which he paid tribute to the struggle of the fallen. Afterwards the death certificates were read and handed over to the relatives.
After the ceremony Avaşîn Ezîz and Mihemed Ferosoper were laid to rest, while the bodies of Zerdeşt Kermiya and Navdar Kerkûk will be transferred to South Kurdistan for burial tomorrow.
