HRE fighters Xelîl, Çayan, Brûsk, Dilsoz and Baran were martyred in Afrin on 20 November in the Turkish wave of attacks on the autonomous region of northern and eastern Syria.
The Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) fighters Xelîl Cindirês (Zeîm Reşo), Çayan Efrîn (Şiyar Silêman), Brûsk Efrîn (Abdullah Îsa), Dilsoz Şêrawa (Mihemed Hisên) and Baran Efrîn (Mistefa Mistefa) fell as martyrs in a Turkish bombardment in the Afrin region on 20 November.
Thousands of people from the Shehba and Afrin cantons attended a massive funeral ceremony on Thursday to bid farewell to the fallen fighters in the ‘Cemetery of the Martyrs of the Age’ in the Ehrez district.
Speakers denounced the Turkish state’s renewed attacks on northern Syria and the re-mobilization of mercenaries to commit further massacres in the region.
One of the speakers, Sibhî El Ehmed, who spoke in the name of the Autonomous Region of Afrin Region, noted that the martyrs had sacrificed their lives to defend the region and called on the people to unite under the umbrella of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to increase the fight against the Turkish state’s genocidal attacks.
The fallen HRE fighters were laid to rest under the slogan “Şehîd namirin” (Martyrs are immortal).
