Farewell to Self-Defence Forces member martyred in Turkish attack

The Self-Defence Forces bid farewell in Shaddadi to its member Kemal Subhî El Hemed who was martyred in a Turkish drone attack on November 13.

Dozens of people gathered in Shaddadi to bid farewell to Self-Defense Forces member Kemal Subhî El Hemed.

The crowd gathered in front of the Martyrs' Families Assembly in Hesekê and went to the Shaddadi Cemetery for a final farewell to the fallen fighter.

The Self-Defense Forces organized a military parade at the cemetery. Iman El Ferec, a member of the Martyrs' Families Assembly, delivered a speech after the parade.

El Ferec offered condolences to the martyr's family and said, “The people of the region will continue to fight, defeat the invaders and liberate the occupied areas.”

“The Turkish state is displacing the people of the region through its drone attacks. But thanks to the resistance of the people and the military forces, we will frustrate all of Turkey's plans,” Ebdulsetar Hesekê, a commander of the Self-Defense Forces, said.

After the speeches, El Hemed's martyrdom certificate was read out and handed over to his family.

The fighter was laid to rest under slogans.
