ISIS sleeper cells attacked the Directorate of Trade, affiliated to the Economy Committee of Tabqa, on December 23. The armed attack claimed the lives of watchmen Osman Hebeş and Xalid El-Ehmed, who have been laid to rest today.
The funeral at Tabqa Cemetery of Martyrs began with a military ceremony, which was followed by the speeches of Tabqa Assembly of Martyrs’ Families administrator Emîne Ebdulrezaq, Economy Committee co-president Ehmed Silêman and Tabqa Civil Council co-president Elûş El-Ebid.
Speakers stressed that the terror attacks in the region only bolstered the people’s determination in resistance and vowed to follow in the footsteps of martyrs.
After the speeches, the death certificates of the martyrs were read out and handed over to their families.
The tow martyrs were then laid to rest with slogans.
