"Honor march against betrayal" in Kobanê

A demonstration has been held in Kobanê against betrayal and occupation.

A demonstration took place in Kobanê against the Turkish invasion of South Kurdistan and attacks by the KDP against the guerrillas. The ruling party in South Kurdistan, KDP, was urged to stop its aggression against the Kurdish liberation movement and to withdraw support from the Turkish state.

The " Honor March against Betrayal" started at Free Women's Square. The crowd moved loudly behind a front banner saying "The murderer of the Zendûra martyrs is Barzanî" to Şehîd-Egîd Square where a rally was staged. The first speech was given by Sara Xelîl. The activist is a member of the executive council in the PYD women's office.

"For a long time, the Turkish state has been attacking South Kurdistan extremely brutally. But the KDP remains silent. Thus, it is guilty of complicity in the murder of its brothers and sisters for the umpteenth time. To withstand collaboration and betrayal, we must be united," said Xelîl.

Musa Hesen of the Council of Martyrs’ Families for the Euphrates Region pointed to the escalation of Turkey's belligerent aggression against the autonomous regions of northern and eastern Syria and southern Kurdistan and criticized the "great silence" of the world community. Hesen described the KDP’s closing of ranks with the Turkish state and attacks by Peshmerga special forces against the Kurdish guerrillas as a pretext for Ankara to occupy South Kurdistan.
