In a written statement the Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) announced that its fighter Aram Afrin was martyred as a result of an accident on 18 August.

The statement said: “Aram Afrin, who grew up with patriotic feelings, joined the struggle for the existence and freedom of the peoples. Comrade Aram always stood firm against the reactionary attacks targeting the gains of our people. We will fulfil the duties and responsibilities of Comrade Aram with great determination."
