ISIS members involved in the Hol Camp attack captured
A curfew has been declared in the district of Hol and in the camp due to the ongoing threat as security forces are continuing to patrol the 5th division of the camp.
The Internal Security Forces captured numerous ISIS members after a cell affiliated with the jihadist organization attacked a part of the Hol Refugee Camp in the Hesekê region in northern Syria.
A member of the Internal Security Forces in the Hol Refugee Camp, Ibrahim Mihemed, told ANHA that “While our forces were performing their duties, they were attacked by an ISIS cell."
Mihemed said that the Internal Security Forces retaliated very carefully in order not to harm the women and children in the camp, adding that several ISIS members were caught following the attack.
Security sources reported that ISIS members used RBG type explosives during the attack, which caused material damage to three military vehicles.
It is further reported that the security forces are continuing to patrol the 5th division of the camp. A curfew has been declared in the district of Hol and in the camp due to the ongoing threat.
Thousands of ISIS families are currently staying in the Hol camp. In total, around 40 thousand people are residing in the Hol, Roj and other camps across North and East Syria.
