Kongra Star condemns Turkish attack on journalists

Kongra Star issued a statement to condemn the Turkish attack on journalists.

The Northern and Eastern Syria Women's Movement Kongra Star condemned the Turkish state's drone attack that targeted a journalist's vehicle on the Amude-Qamishlo road on Wednesday.

The statement said: "The invading Turkish state continues its genocidal war against the existence and will of Kurdish women and people, and to target Northern and Eastern Syria regions. It is waging a war in the Kurdistan region, ignoring human rights laws and rules. It has always seen the Rojava Revolution as its enemy, and therefore continues to attack it. It has destabilized the lives of women, children and men over the past decade, putting the region's environment in peril."

Turkish state continues its massacre

Kongra Star continued: "Turkey carried out massacres against humanity by supporting terrorist organizations. In order to change the demographic structure, many regions were occupied by Turkey and their inhabitants were forcibly displaced. All these crimes continue to be committed in front of the international community and human rights organizations."

Kongra Star added: "As a continuation of these attacks, Jin TV employees were targeted by a drone on Wednesday. In this cowardly attack, civilians and journalists who work day and night to follow and report these threats were targeted. According to international law, targeting a media worker is unacceptable. But, taking advantage of the silence of the international community, Turkey continues its attacks.

We condemn the targeting of women, children and media workers. Once again, we call on the international community and human rights organizations to fulfil their duties."
