A bomb-laden motorbike was detonated in Hajin town of Deir ez-Zor on Sunday, injuring three civilians.

Eyewitnesses said that a masked man had left the bomb-laden motorbike in an area near the hospital in the town centre.

According to eyewitnesses, the motorbike was detonated as the president of Hawama Council, Suhbi Muhammed Ibrahim, arrived in the town market. He and two other civilians were injured in the explosion.

Those injured were taken to hospital and are reported to be in good medical conditions.
