Occupation forces attack the western front of Ain Issa

After days of calm, Turkish jihadist occupation forces again attacked the town of Ain Issa in the autonomous region of northern and eastern Syria.

The city of Ain Issa in the autonomous region of northern and eastern Syria is again under fire from Turkish jihadist occupation forces, reported the ANHA news agency on Monday. Accordingly, the attacks by howitzers were directed against the western front of the city. There are no reports of damage so far.

The attacks on Ain Issa are the first after days of calm. The city was last bombed on Christmas Eve. The attacks targeted the site of a camp for displaced persons that is no longer in use and is located in the village of Saydiyah (also known as Seyda), located almost 20 kilometres northwest of the city centre.

Ain Issa has been one of the preferred targets of the Turkish army and its Islamist proxy forces for years. In the course of the wave of attacks against northern and eastern Syria launched on 19 November, the town was particularly affected by massive artillery strikes, especially in the first weeks. On 10 December, a 61-year-old civilian was killed in a Turkish attack in Ain Issa.
