On Wednesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke of a date for a new invasion operation targeting Kurds in Rojava.
“We said we will launch our operation to rescue the east of the Euphrates from the separatist terrorist organization in a few days, and we repeat this statement", said the Turkish President.
Shortly after the threats of invasion, intensified Turkish military activity was observed at Rojava border and a Turkish bombardment on a village of Afrin left 4 civilians wounded.
People from Serêkaniyê and Zirganlı gathered in front of Serêkaniyê Public House on Thursday carrying YPG-YPJ, SDF flags, photographs of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
During the march they carried out, people chanted slogans against the threats of invasion issued by the Turkish President.

Speaking at the march which ended in the Martyrs Boulevard, Serêkaniyê Regional Council Co-Chair, Loqman Iso, said: “The people, together, are ready today like at any time, to counter and foil Erdoğan attacks. We will always resist.”
Iso said that the threats to occupy Northern Syria will not break the will of the people and added that the people will never leave their land.
