SDF: Attacks repelled, 13 mercenaries eliminated in Manbij region

SDF said that Turkey continues targeting everything in northern and eastern Syria, sparing not even civilian facilities, exacerbating the suffering of the local population and undermining their means of livelihood.

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released the outcome of attacks by the Turkish state and allied mercenaries on eastern and southern Manbij on Saturday.

The SDF statement on Sunday includes the following:

“Despite relentless attacks supported by Turkish warplanes and UCAVs and conducted yesterday, Saturday, by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against the eastern and southern fronts of Manbij and their attempts to advance in the Tishreen Dam region, the Manbij Military Council effectively repelled and thwarted all these attacks, inflicting significant losses among the ranks of the mercenaries.

Yesterday at 1:00 PM, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries launched an attack on the villages surrounding the Tishreen Dam. Fierce clashes erupted between our forces and the mercenaries, lasting until 5:00 PM. The Turkish occupation had targeted the area with heavy artillery shelling before launching an attack on the Syriatel Hill. However, our forces successfully repelled this attack, destroying a vehicle carrying mercenaries. It was confirmed that eight mercenaries were eliminated.
At 1:30 PM, another attack was launched on the Abu Said Farm. Our forces countered the attack effectively, resulting in the confirmed elimination of five additional mercenaries.

Following the failure of these attacks and the heavy losses inflicted on the enemy in terms of personnel and equipment, the Turkish occupation bombarded the entrance to the village of Khirbet al-Zamala with heavy artillery.

Furthermore, the Martyr Haroun Units conducted targeted strikes against enemy positions, gatherings, and vehicles in the area. In total, 13 targets were successfully hit.

On the Deir Hafer front, our forces successfully targeted a point belonging to the Turkish occupation mercenaries near the city of Deir Hafer, seriously wounding one mercenary.

On Friday, Turkish warplanes targeted the sugar factory east of Deir Hafer, causing significant damage to vital sections of the facility. This civilian and crucial infrastructure provides essential services to the local population. Yet, the Turkish occupation continues targeting everything in northern and eastern Syria, sparing not even civilian facilities, exacerbating the suffering of the local population and undermining their means of livelihood.”
