Security measures increased in northern and eastern Syria

The Internal Security Forces in Tabqa Canton are taking measures to ensure the security of citizens and to prevent attempts by cells to disturb the peace and security in the region.
On 8 December, the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria announced a curfew across the region from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am. Security patrols are deployed in all cities, towns and rural areas of the cantons in the region.
The Internal Security Forces announced that they had declared a curfew in all cantons in the region due to the extraordinary security situation in Syria and in order to ensure internal security.
As part of security measures taken in Tabqa Canton, mobile and fixed checkpoints were established and increased, while security forces were deployed at the entrances and exits of the canton, cities, towns and the countryside. The number of patrols was also increased.
