Syriac Radio opens in Qamishlo
Programs will be in Syriac, Assyrian and Chaldean languages. Various programs will be broadcasted in Arabic as well.

The first radio in Syriac language opened in Qamishlo. The radio broadcasts in three languages, Syriac, Arabic and Armenian.
The opening was attended by several local medias, the Local Council of Orthodox Syriac, ortodox priests, representatives of Syriac people institutions, Autonomous Administration representatives.
The radio will broadcast daily from 8 am to 8 pm.
Co-presidents of Suroyo Radio, Maria Hanna and Samer Hanna spoke at the opening in Arabic and Syrian. They said that this radio is another step in the co-existence of nations.

Maryam Talia, sister of martyr Basil Talia, officially opened the radio. Basil Talia fell martyr in the villages of Khabur in Tel Temir in 2015, while fighting ISIS mercenaries.
