Ten civilians executed in village inhabited by Alawites in Hama countryside

After the massacre of eight civilians yesterday, two men have been found dead in Arzah village, inhabited mostly by Alawite people, in the north-western countryside of Hama.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), at least 10 civilians have been killed in Arzah village, which is inhabited mostly by people of the Alawite community, in the north-western countryside of Hama.

The observatory stated that two men were executed by unknown gunmen who killed eight other civilians yesterday. The number of people killed in yesterday’s massacre has thus increased to ten, amid a media blackout.

According to SOHR, unknown gunmen knocked on the doors of several houses in the village and opened fire on civilians, using individual guns with silencers, before they escaped.

The observatory stressed that media blackout, avoiding highlighting such violations and misrepresenting facts worked against civil peace and coexistence in Syria.
