The Democratic Society Movement called on the peoples of North and East Syria to protect their gains with a revolutionary people's war against the attacks of the invading Turkish state.
The Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) released a statement calling on the people of North and East Syria and the democracy forces in the world to stand up against the plans of the Turkish state.
“The international community has recently focused on the fascist Turkish government which is planning to carry out a new attack on the will of the peaceful people of North and East Syria,” the statement released on Wednesday said.
“The Turkish state insists on invading a large part of our land and turning it into areas where terrorists and mercenaries are housed, and wars, conflicts and chemical weapons are tested. Turkey cites its national security concerns. However, its real aim is to realize the colonial houses project and to revive terrorism.
We call on the people of the region to fulfil their moral and national responsibilities as we are faced with a life-or-death situation. We must protect our values and achievements with all our energy and the spirit of a revolutionary people's war. This is the only way to frustrate political and ethnic genocide.
We call on the forces of democracy, non-governmental organizations, and all organizations that advocate the protection of women's and children's rights to fulfil their moral responsibilities against attacks.”
