Three more Kurdish civilians abducted in occupied Afrin

The Turkish army and allied mercenaries continue committing crimes in occupied territories of North-East Syria.

Afrin Human Rights Organisation announced that Turkish-backed Jaish al-Nukhba militiamen kidnapped a number of local Kurds from the village of Shekhoitka, in Mabata district, on false charges of " working with the former Autonomous Administration.

According to the organisation, the abductees who were kidnapped earlier this month are; 53 years old Muhammad Mannan Rasho, 59 years old Mannan Muhammad Rasho and 48 years old Zaki Hannan Rasho.

The abductees were taken to the militia's headquarters in Amara village, the organisation said.

It is noteworthy that Muhammad Muhammad Rasho has been kidnapped more than three times and his release was ransomed each time. Mannan Rasho was also kidnapped and ransomed after the occupation of Afrin in 2018.

Afrin Human Rights Organisation stressed that: “The abduction of Kurdish citizens is carried out by the pro-Turkey armed factions and the so-called "military police" under the direct commands and supervision of Turkish intelligence officers. The abductees are usually falsely charged with dealing or belonging to the former Autonomous Administration in order to either forcibly displace them or blackmail them into paying huge ransoms.”
