Turkish army attacks Sherawa and Dirbesiye

The Turkish regime has intensified its attacks against northern Syria as part of its genocidal campaign seeking to invade the region which has been ongoing since October 9 in violation of international law.

According to reports from the ground, the Turkish army and allied mercenaries have attacked the village of Mezin in Afrin’s Sherawa district. The village is targeted by an artillery aggression.

On the other hand, Turkish troops have attacked the positions of Syrian regime forces deployed in the border area in Dirbesiye (al-Darbasiyah) town in the Heseke Canton.

The targeted positions of Syrian forces are said to be located in the village of Hawashiya, on the motorway between Dirbesiye and Amude, 4 km to the Dirbesiye town centre.

Sources on the ground state that the attack did not result in casualties among Syrian forces.
