The Afrin Human Rights Organization issued a new report saying that 10 more civilians have been kidnapped in Afrin on 17 August by the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries.
The report said: “On 17 August 2020, Sikur al Shimal gang group affiliated to the invading Turkish state kidnapped more than 10 civilians in the village of Gemrukê in the Mabata district of Afrin and asked for ransom to their families.”
The report named some of the kidnapped people as follows: “Ednan Zekeriya (35), Ehmed Zekeriya (38), Loqman Xelîl (35), Ebdo Hesen (75), Zekî Xoce (62), Kemal Hesen (62) and Ebdulrehman Ebdo Ehmo (75).”
The report added that Ebdulrehman Ebdo Ehmo was released in return for a ransom of one thousand Turkish lira.
The Sikur al-Shimal gang group set up a checkpoint in the village of Gemrukê, kidnapped these civilians and demanded a thousand Turkish lira ransom from their families.”
