The People's Protection Units (YPG) paid tribute to the fight of Dilxwaz Agir and Hisên Mamed for North and East Syria. They carried the heavy burden of the revolution and continued the march for the freedom of their people without rest, in order to do justice to their responsibility towards history, the YPG said in a statement.
Dilxwaz Agir and Hisên Mamed fell as martyrs in a Turkish drone attack in the city of Amûdê a week ago. They belonged to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), but were organized within the YPG.
“Dilxwaz Agir and Hisên Mamed came together from different regions of Kurdistan and joined our ranks to defend the Rojava project. They did this as fighters for their people,” said the YPG in a statement, adding: "Our bond is infinite, applies to the struggle of our comrades and their ideals, their understanding of friendship and their loyalty to their people, for whose freedom they gave their lives.
