The press office of the People's Defense Units (YPG) announced the death of YPG fighter Cûdî Amanos in an accident on 12 July 2022. According to the statement, the accident occurred in Aleppo. Cûdî Amanos' real name was Can Osman and he was born in Afrin.
The YPG statement said: "Our companion Cûdî grew up in a patriotic family in Aleppo. After the occupation of Afrin, he migrated with his family to Shehba. The fact that his birthplace fell into the hands of the enemy touched him deeply and caused him great anger. Although he was still very young, he joined our ranks and participated in the work with great enthusiasm. Our comrade Cûdî was hardworking and very sacrificial in life and work. We are deeply saddened by this incident. The memory of Şehîd Cûdî will live on in our struggle. We offer our condolences to his family and our patriotic people. We renew our pledge to increase our struggle."
