The residents of North and East Syria continue their military and diplomatic activities to take a stand against the attacks of the invading Turkish state.

On July 6, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria declared a state of emergency against Turkish invasion plans.

Following the declaration of the state of emergency, preparations against an imminent Turkish occupation aggression on the region have gained momentum. Measures for resistance are not restricted to military forces in the region. The residents of the region also declare that they are ready to take a stand against the Turkish invasion attacks. They talked to ANHA, expressing their determination to confront yet another genocidal campaign by the Turkish state against the region.

'WE WILL TAKE UP ARMS AND PROTECT OUR LAND’

One of the residents of Zirgan, Ebdulkerîm Elewî, condemned the attacks of the invading Turkish state, saying: “The aim of the Turkish occupation is to occupy the region and to eliminate the democratic nation project in North and East Syria, which embraces all the peoples of the region.”

Elewî pointed out that the Autonomous Administration's declaration of a state of emergency is an urgent and important decision to confront Turkey's invasion attacks against the region. He vowed that he would stand by the military forces to protect the region.

“We will protect our land by taking up arms against invasion attacks,” Elewî underlined.

'THEY CANNOT INVADE EVEN A PIECE OF LAND'

Another resident, Şerîf Îbrahîm, stated that the attacks of the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries would never break their will. “We will stand against the attacks of the Turkish army and its mercenaries and protect our lands to the end. We will not allow the Turkish invasion to occupy a piece of our land, no matter what the cost,” he stressed.

'WE WILL FIGHT ALONSIDE SDF'

“We are ready to defeat the invaders. We will fight alongside the SDF with our young and old people, including women and children. We will never remain silent in the face of Turkey’s attacks.” Îbrahîm remarked.

Îbrahîm called on the people of the region to unite and take a stand against the attacks of the invading Turkish army. “This is a life and death struggle. The people of the region must be organized according to the emergency decrees. War is at our doorstep.”

'SOLIDARITY NEEDS TO CONTINUE'

Another citizen named Mihemed Ebdo expressed that the people of the region would not renounce their lands. “Our solidarity as people is important to protect the achievements of the North and East Syrian revolution. We as the people of the region need to keep our solidarity going,” he said.
