When the AKP government blocked returns to Rojava through the border gate, citizens who want to return to Rojava had to resort to using the border crossings.

Hawar News Agency (ANHA) reported that Ela Eli Şexmus had moved to Northern Kurdistan two years ago from Serekaniye’s Til Hilef town. When he was prevented from returning through the border gate, he attempted to cross from across the Til Hilef town last night at around 22.00. He was shot at by Turkish soldiers and heavily wounded.

Rojava Asayish took heavily wounded Şexmus to the Serekaniye Hospital and reports say Şexmus is still in critical condition.
