SDF thwarts attacks by occupation forces on Tishrin Dam and Deir Hafer fronts

The Turkish army and allied mercenaries continue their attacks on North-East Syria, facing resistance from the Syrian Democratic Forces.

The Press Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement providing information about the latest operations carried out by the SDF and attacks by the occupation forces in North-East Syria.

The SDF statement on Sunday includes the following:

“On Saturday, our forces successfully thwarted all the attacks of the Turkish occupation mercenaries on our positions. On the Deir Hafer front, under the cover of Turkish occupation UCAVs and from the village of al-Imam, the mercenaries launched an attack on one of our positions. Our fighters engaged them in intense clashes, resulting in the elimination of two mercenaries, while the remaining mercenaries fled from the battlefield.

On the Tishreen Dam front, the Turkish occupation shelled the vicinity of the dam with heavy artillery. Meanwhile, mercenaries launched an attack on our positions near Syriatel Hill. Our fighters successfully thwarted the attack after clashes in which several mercenaries were wounded, though the exact number remains unconfirmed. Throughout the day, Turkish occupation UCAVs continued to operate in the area’s airspace.

Additionally, Turkish warplanes conducted an airstrike on the village of Al-Tina, near the Qereqozak Bridge, while heavy artillery, tanks, rocket launchers, and mortars indiscriminately shelled the villages of Al-Tina, Ja’da, Bir Hisso, Ghasq, Dekan, Melha, and Al-San’a, as well as the Sayfi Hill and Qereqozak Hill. These areas were struck by more than 70 shells, causing significant material damage to civilian homes and properties.”
