Government ‘tender’ for killing endangered wild goats

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's 14th Regional Directorate Van Provincial Branch Directorate issued a tender to ‘officially’ hunt endangered wild goats.

The Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry 14th Regional Directorate's Van Provincial Branch Directorate published an official announcement of tender for the sale of foreign hunter quotas within the scope of ‘hunting tourism’.

Accordingly, hunters will be able to kill wild goats by paying 480 thousand TL. For those who want to participate in the tender to be held with the ‘Open Offer Procedure’ at the Van Provincial Branch Directorate, the estimated price was determined as 180 thousand TL, and the provisional guarantee was determined as 5,400 TL. In this context, a tender was held for 2 wild goats to be hunted by foreign hunters in Van. 

In addition to Van, hunting tenders will be organised in 10 other provinces.

The General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, which organises ‘Hunting Training Courses’ every year, put wild goats out to tender to be killed this month in the following cities:

* 23 September: Mersin- 39 wild goats

* 24 September: Adana- 2 wild goats

* 24 September: Mersin- 6 wild goats

* 24 September: Hatay- 9 wild goats

* 24 September: Niğde- 15 wild goats

* 24 September: Kayseri- 9 wild goats

* 26 September: Sivas- 10 wild goats

* 26 September: Maraş- 7 wild goats

* 27 September: Adıyaman - 16 wild goats

* 30 September: Van- 2 wild goats

* 30 September: Siirt- 1 wild goat

* 30 September: Hakkari- 2 wild goats
